Online HFSV Checker
The brief was to create and develop an Online Home Fire Safety checker for anyone wishing to carry out a self assessment due to home visits being stopped due to the pandemic. The timescale for this project was a month or two at the most due to the pandemic, s it meant more of us would be spending more time at home. Therefore Prevention and Protection wanted to ensure that households were safe from fire risk as possible. This online form was way to e encourage the users to follow customised advice and guidance depending upon there answers to the questions.
After the analysis of determining the key causes of fires in the home, I created iconography and UI designs for this simple self assessment. Collaborating with the developer was key, as he created the elements in Umbraco., there were iterations of the icons and the user experience throughout until launched and even after we evaluated and improved the experience for users.
